Job summary

Kaney Inc. is seeking a Machinist A for the second shift in Rockford, IL. You will set up and operate multiple machines, perform quality inspections, and work with minimal supervision to meet productivity and safety goals.

Responsibilities include training operators, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring adherence to TPM and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and math/geometry skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assigned equipment with minimal supervision.
• Assist in training operators in the safe use and operation of manufacturing equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities as needed.
• Proactively interact with coworkers to provide assistance, answer questions and solve problems.
• Perform first piece sample verification of work done by others.
• Interpret and suggest improvements to new and existing processes.
• Make necessary adjustments to equipment/tooling to attain required dimensions and finishes.
• Maintain correct time reporting and accurate entries on manufacturing and inspection records.
• Follow TPM requirements and maintain good housekeeping.
• Comply with company quality and safety requirements.
