Job summary

Kaney is seeking a Machinist A (second shift) to set up and operate multiple manual machines including lathes, mills, grinders, drills, and related equipment. You will inspect your work and adjust as needed, with minimal supervision to meet quality, safety, and productivity goals.

The role requires reading blueprints, applying GD&T, and participating in continuous improvement activities while maintaining accurate records and following TPM and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of related machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• With minimal supervision, setup and operate assigned equipment.
• Assist in training operators in safe use of equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities as needed.
• Interact with coworkers to provide assistance and solve problems.
• Perform first piece sample verification of work.
• Interpret and suggest improvements to processes.
• Make adjustments to equipment to meet dimensions and finishes.
• Maintain accurate time reporting and records.
• Follow TPM requirements and maintain good housekeeping.
• Comply with quality and safety requirements.
