Job summary

Rebo Lighting & Electronics, LLC in Sparta, Tennessee is seeking a Machinist on the 2nd shift to operate and maintain traditional machine shop equipment, with a focus on plastic injection molds. You will interpret blueprints, fabricate parts, and support tooling and fixtures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires 5 years in a machine shop, a related technical education, and hands-on experience with mold maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a Machine Shop environment.
• Formal education or training in a related technical field.
• Experience in plastic injection molding, mold maintenance/repair.
• Able to set up and operate conventional vertical milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, vertical EDM.

Responsibilities

• Operate traditional machine shop equipment to repair, maintain, and fabricate tooling and fixtures for manufacturing with emphasis on plastic injection molds.
• Maintain a safe working attitude and promote a safety culture.
• Work with little or no supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprint drawings.
• Fabricate parts with high accuracy and tight tolerances.
• Perform tool repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Support design and fabrication of jigs and fixtures.
• Assemble and debug tools and fixtures for production area.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Operate all types of traditional machine shop equipment as required to repair, maintain, and fabricate tooling, fixtures, and samples in support of manufacturing operations with a heavy emphasis on plastic injection molds.
• Maintain a safe working attitude, follow safety rules, and promote a safe culture throughout the facility.
• Must work with little or no supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprint drawings.
• Fabricate parts with a high level of accuracy while holding tight tolerances.
• Perform tool repairs and preventative maintenance at regular intervals.
• Support design and fabrication of jigs and fixtures in support of manufacturing operations.
• Assemble and debug tools and fixtures for production area.

YOUR KEY ATTRIBUTES

• You have a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• You have five (5) years of experience in a Machine Shop environment.
• You have formal education or training in a related technical field.
• Have experience in plastic injection molding, mold maintenance/repair, and related manufacturing processes.
• Able to safely set‑up and operate conventional vertical milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, vertical EDM and other shop‑related equipment.
