Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related experience.
• Basic understanding of electronics and programmable controllers.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electricity, and basic tools.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operation manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Must be computer literate and mechanically capable.
• Leadership abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Review product for inconsistencies or to ensure quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and support deadlines.
• Maintain clear housekeeping in the assigned area.
