Job summary

Broughton Hospital, part of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, seeks a full-time second shift Pharmacy Technician. You will process and prepare physicians’ orders in pharmacy and outpatient clinics, support medication distribution, and ensure safety and quality under a Pharmacist’s supervision.

Preferred candidates have a completed accredited 9-month Pharmacy Technician program, or HS diploma with pharmacy experience; certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nine-month Pharmacy Technician program.
• HS diploma or General Educational Development diploma and one year of pharmacy-related experience.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician may be required.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare physicians’ medication orders in pharmacy and outpatient clinic settings.
• Support medication distribution and ensure accurate dispensing.
• Maintain and troubleshoot pharmacy automation systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards under supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
