Job summary

Bodycote is seeking a Supervisor in Grand Rapids, MI to lead heat treating operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will oversee technicians, train staff, and drive process improvements under the General Manager's direction.

Qualifications

• ITAR compliance: candidate must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of heat treating experience.
• Ability to oversee heat treaters with leadership qualities.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
• Excellent reading/writing English communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.
• Provide process improvements and recommendations for process optimization.
• Instruct and direct work activities of department employees.
• Train and direct activities of department staff, communicating customer needs and company goals.
• Track work in progress and confer with foreman/management as needed.
• Operate and monitor heat treating equipment as required.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
• Perform duties as assigned.
