Job summary

Automatic Spring Products Corporation seeks a Heat Treat Set Up Tech for 2nd shift in Grand Haven, MI. The technician will operate and set up Austemper heat treating equipment, manage startup and adjustments, and ensure safety and quality during production.

The role requires understanding heat treat process flows, basic data entry, and the ability to follow QF/QJI work instructions. Prior heat treat or thermal processing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in heat treat operations or thermal processing preferred.
• Familiarity with PLEX or ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up heat treating equipment including furnaces, oil quench, and tempering systems.
• Manage machine startup, burner relights, and dewpoint adjustments.
• Review routings and instructions to ensure process compliance.
• Enter maintenance work orders for mechanical issues and log production events.
• Maintain documentation, logs, and visual controls; report quality and safety concerns.
