Job summary

TRG Staffing Solutions is hiring for a Forklift Operator on the second shift in Sellersburg, Indiana. The role requires sit-down propane forklift skills, warehouse awareness, and strong teamwork to meet high-volume distribution demands.

The position offers a consistent Monday-Thursday schedule with a pay rate of $18.50/hour plus attendance incentive. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate safely around dock doors and lift gates.

Qualifications

• Previous sit-down forklift experience required.
• Propane forklift experience required.
• Warehouse/distribution experience preferred, high-volume environment ideal.
• Ability to load/unload trucks safely.
• Must read labels and warehouse location maps.
• Basic computer knowledge and RF scanner use.
• Read/write/basic math skills.
• Must be safety-conscious and able to maneuver in tight spaces.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable commute to Sellersburg location.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down propane forklift in a high-volume warehouse and distribution environment.
• Use forklift controls smoothly, including steering and mast positioning.
• Safely mount/dismount forklift and follow parking procedures.
• Understand load stability and forklift stability triangle.
• Complete pre-use forklift inspections and checklists.
• Safely change propane cylinders following procedures.
• Load/unload trucks only when safe to do so.
• Move large quantities of heavy containers/materials safely.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory.
• Identify materials using labels and warehouse locations.
• Count inventory accurately and report discrepancies.
• Support FIFO/min-max/just-in-time material flow where applicable.
• Maintain clean, safe work area.
• Wear PPE and follow site safety requirements.
