Job summary

TRG Staffing Solutions is seeking a qualified Forklift Operator for first shift in Sellersburg, Indiana. The role requires sit-down propane forklift experience, warehouse knowledge, and a focus on inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

You will safely operate equipment, perform pre-use inspections, load and unload trucks, and support FIFO and inventory control while adhering to all safety procedures and company policies. Attendance incentive program applies to eligible hours.

Qualifications

• Requires sit-down propane forklift experience.
• Warehouse/distribution experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must commute to Sellersburg, IN.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down propane forklift in a high-volume warehouse and distribution environment.
• Use forklift controls smoothly and safely, including steering, braking, maneuvering in tight spaces, and proper fork and mast positioning during travel.
• Safely mount and dismount the forklift and follow proper forklift parking procedures.
• Understand load stability and the forklift stability triangle when moving materials.
• Complete required pre-use forklift inspections and inspection checklists.
• Safely change propane fuel cylinders following required procedures.
• Load and unload trucks only when dock doors, lift gates, dock locks, and trailer conditions are confirmed safe.
• Move and position large variations of heavy containers and materials safely.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to support material movement, tracking, and inventory accuracy.
• Identify materials using labels, barcodes, and warehouse location information.
• Count inventory accurately and report discrepancies immediately.
• Support FIFO, min/max, and just-in-time material flow requirements as applicable.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and a safe, organized work area.
• Wear required PPE, including safety vest and forklift seatbelt, and follow all site safety requirements.
