Job summary

Christensen Farms seeks a Feed Mill Supervisor for the 2nd shift to oversee daily operations, ensure safe and accurate production, and lead a small shift team. You will work with maintenance, plant leadership, and other departments to meet production goals and uphold quality standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, shift coverage, and continuous improvement while maintaining OSHA-aligned safety practices and clear shift communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (minimum).
• 1–3 years of prior job experience; supervisory or feed operations preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and strong 10-Key skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all 2nd shift production activities, ensuring on-time, to-specification, and OSHA-compliant output.
• Monitor feed mill systems and equipment; identify and resolve issues to maintain flow.
• Oversee raw material handling, batching, grinding, pelleting, and loadout with accuracy.
• Oversee unloading of ingredient/corn trucks and monitor inventory to prevent shortages.
• Operate the corn dryer during harvest periods as needed.
• Coordinate with maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime and ensure timely repairs.
• Provide direct supervision and support to all 2nd shift personnel; assign tasks and schedules.
