Job summary

R&R Tool, Inc. in Blanchester, OH is seeking an entry-level Quality Assurance Inspector to join our quality team on 2nd shift. The role involves inspecting manufactured components, reading engineering drawings, and recording results to ensure adherence to customer and company requirements.

Training is provided, with a shift differential of $1.75 per hour for 2nd shift. Ideal candidates enjoy working with their hands, pay close attention to detail, and are eager to learn manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to perform repetitive measurements and inspections.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, final, and receiving inspections as assigned.
• Inspect parts using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages, and other inspection tools.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection instructions.
• Verify dimensions and other product characteristics against specified requirements.
• Accurately record inspection results and maintain required quality records.
• Identify and document nonconforming material.
• Assist with containment and identification of suspect or defective product.
• Communicate quality concerns to Quality and Production personnel.
• Perform visual inspections for defects, damage, contamination, and workmanship issues.
• Maintain inspection equipment and ensure equipment is properly identified and within calibration.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and controlled inspection area.
• Follow company procedures, work instructions, and quality system requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and corrective action activities as requested.
• Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
