Job summary

Sypris Electronics, LLC on the Tampa, FL production floor seeks a Maintenance Technician (Second shift) to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple equipment lines supporting government and commercial products. You will provide first-line diagnostics, repairs, and prioritization to keep production running.

The role requires troubleshooting, reading blueprints, and collaborating with engineers, process teams, and operators.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certificate in mechanical/electrical field.
• Minimum two years in electro-mechanical assembly; SMT process and X-ray experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electronic processes.
• Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics; familiarity with pneumatics/hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line maintenance support on production floor; troubleshoot and prioritize maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and improve performance of manufacturing equipment through maintenance.
• Maintain records on equipment maintenance, repairs, training, and calibration; ensure compliance with standards.
• Evaluate tooling and mean time between failure; communicate needs for updates and modifications.
• Maintain machine parts and tooling inventory; support CI efforts.
• Assist in root cause analysis and problem solving with engineers and operators.
