Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician A to service and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, air braking, engines and HVAC. You’ll diagnose multi-system issues, perform complex repairs and support the fleet to keep routes running, with on-site work and ongoing training.

The role requires 5–7 years on heavy-duty trucks; LNG/CNG and CDL are pluses.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform repairs without supervision in some areas.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• Class B or higher CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic and electrical systems; air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Engine repair and diagnostics.
• Diesel fuel systems and diagnostics.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems.
• HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• Aftertreatment systems diagnostics.
• Electrical concerns diagnosed with scan tools.
• Line welding and fabrication.
• Identify malfunction sources with electronic tools.
• Complete Company training programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
