Casella Waste is seeking a Diesel Technician to maintain diesel equipment, perform inspections, and complete preventive maintenance tasks. You will work to keep safety and customer service commitments, with opportunities for advancement through a Career Pathways Program.

Hiring range is $30.00–$45.00 per hour plus a $3.00 per hour shift differential, reflecting the demanding environment and hands-on responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license (Class A/B/C) and legal work eligibility.
• At least 1 year inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication, teamwork-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety-compliant maintenance on diesel equipment and vehicles.
• Carry out inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive tasks as directed.
• Maintain records of work performed and issues found for safety and service levels.
• Run tests and drives to verify repairs and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical problems.
• Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures and work in varied weather and conditions.
