Job summary

Casella Waste Systems is seeking a Diesel Technician to maintain diesel equipment, perform inspections, and complete preventive maintenance. The role includes diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining records to ensure safety and top-level customer service.

A strong advancement path and merit increases are part of the Career Pathways program. The position offers a wage range of $25-$50 per hour based on experience, plus a $2,000 annual tool allowance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and stationary equipment.
• Valid Class A, B, or C Driver’s license.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, standing).
• Pre-employment drug screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance tasks based on driver pre/post trip inspections.
• Maintains diesel equipment by completing inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoots problems and resolves them in a timely manner.
• Performs lockout/tagout procedures as needed.
• Tests vehicles and analyzes results to diagnose malfunctions.
• Maintains records for all work and procedures.
