Responsibilities

• Reads blueprint and job order for dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions.
• Determines sequence of operations.
• Selects and secures tool in holder.
• Positions and secures workpiece holding devices, machine tables, chucks, centers, or fixtures.
• Uses equipment to position tools and work pieces.
• Sets feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
• Observes operation and verifies conformance to specifications.
