Job summary

STARC Systems, Inc. is seeking a Machinist to produce precision components for its modular wall systems. You will operate CNC mills and lathes, set up tooling, and perform finishing operations to ensure quality and performance.

Collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams is essential on the shop floor. The role emphasizes precision, problem solving, and continuous improvement, with a second shift from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Technical certificate, associate’s degree, or equivalent experience in machining or manufacturing technology.
• Minimum of two years of machining experience, including CNC setup and operation.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Comfortable using precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Experience with manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, drill presses) a plus.
• Forklift operation required; certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines to produce precision parts.
• Select tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds to achieve consistent results.
• Perform secondary machining and finishing operations as required.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings for precision and efficiency.
• Identify non-conforming parts and communicate quality issues promptly.
