Professional Plastics in Austell, GA is seeking a CNC Machinist Lead for the second shift to drive safety, quality, and efficiency. You will program, set up, and operate CNC equipment, validate tolerances with precision tools, and monitor shift performance while mentoring a production team.

The role emphasizes training and coaching, encouraging new ideas, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment to meet daily targets and continuous improvement goals.

Qualifications

• Five years CNC machining experience including programming, set ups and operation.
• Mazak/Mazatrol experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Programs, sets up and operates the CNC equipment in their area.
• Uses inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, to validate tolerances.
• Monitors production levels, shift output, labor performance, scraps and rejects, and housekeeping.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Assigns jobs and machines to team members across shifts.
• Performs shift turnover and handoffs to achieve expected results.
• Answers questions and leads team members on their shift and area of responsibility.
• Trains and develops team members including shadowing and coaching.
• Leads process improvements and adoption of new ideas.
