CEIS | Power is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support second-shift operations with 5+ years of experience in a shop environment. The role involves precise machining of rotating equipment components such as pumps, turbines, and compressors to engineering specs and tolerances.

The position is direct-hire and focuses on setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC and manual tools, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality through meticulous measurement and tool selection.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of experience in a shop environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Competence in selecting tooling and machining parameters.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC and manual machines including horizontal lathes, VTLs, and milling machines.
• Perform turning, milling, drilling, boring, threading, and facing on diverse materials.
• Read blueprints and process sheets, and program with G-code to produce precision components.
• Choose tooling and parameters to ensure high quality and efficiency.
• Measure parts with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges to verify tolerances.
• Make offsets and minor program edits to maintain quality and consistency.
