Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Precision Grinder (CNC Grinding) for its Burbank, CA Machine Shop Team. The role focuses on operating precision grinding machines to produce parts per blueprints and engineering specs.

Responsibilities include setting controls, measuring parts with micrometers and gauges, selecting tooling, and ensuring tolerances of +/- .001 to .00002 on ID/OD. Overtime may be required and second shift offers a 10% differential.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of experience in CNC grinding (ID/OD or centerless).
• Working knowledge of precision grinding in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Centerless and ID/OD CNC grinding experience.

Responsabilidades

• Set and adjust machine controls according to product specifications.
• Measure work pieces with precision devices and lay out work.
• Select tooling based on production requirements and blueprints.
• Study blueprints and machining instructions to determine specs and tool needs.
• Mount and position tools in chucks and tool holding devices.
• Operate and monitor grinding processes to meet specs and tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts using gauges and micrometers to ensure conformance.
• Lift and position work pieces and set up grinding operations.
• Perform setup and operation of grinding tools and remove burrs as needed.
• Monitor operations and make adjustments to resolve issues.
