Job summary

Advocate Health Care in North Carolina seeks a pharmacist to oversee pharmaceutical care, retrieve biomedical literature, and design medication therapy regimens. You will counsel patients and caregivers about therapy, adverse effects, and adherence.

This full-time, second-shift role requires licensure in the state, an ACPE-accredited degree, and hospital experience as preferred. You will mentor students and support medication safety initiatives while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy required, or an FPGEC certificate from NABP.
• Licensure in the state of practice or eligibility for reciprocity required.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required based on area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens.
• Provides patient and caregiver counseling on therapy, adverse effects, compliance, and medication administration.
• Designs, monitors, and evaluates patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens based on literature.
