SUMMARY
The Caregiver provides personal care and incidental Activities of Daily Living to RCAC, CBRF, and/or Memory Care residents of Capri Communities LLC, adhering to organizational and regulatory requirements.
Must be available to work every other weekend and rotating holidays
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Adheres to the written Resident Care Plan to:
- Assist residents in maintaining independence with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and nutritional needs. Also assists with meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Assist with resident transfers, including 1:1 transfers.
- Assist residents with medication administration and maintain related documentation.
- Perform delegated tasks as instructed by supervisors.
- Perform healthcare practices according to accepted standards.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties as directed.
- Lead or assist with resident activities, both scheduled and impromptu.
- Observe and report resident conditions and safety hazards promptly.
- Document observations and participation accurately and timely.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Organize shift duties to promote residents' well-being.
- Protect residents’ health information according to HIPAA and applicable laws.
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
- Stay updated on State Regulations and DHS requirements.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following are preferred:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred; not required.
- At least 12 months of experience as a personal aide, Caregiver, or similar experience.
- Completion of CBRF and CNA certifications preferred.
- Reliability and flexibility in scheduling, including working holidays and weekends.
- Patience, understanding, and emotional/physical ability to meet residents' needs.
- Knowledge of and compliance with building regulations, DHS requirements, OSHA, and other reporting standards.
- Commitment to high-quality resident relations and complaint resolution.
- Ability to administer care meeting safety and health standards.
