Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities in our community-based homes. You will assist with daily activities, meals, hygiene, and medication administration, while supporting clients in learning, working and engaging in community activities.

We offer a starting rate of $15 per hour, tenure pay scale, annual performance bonus, a $1 shift premium on Saturdays and Sundays from 9a–9p, plus health

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
• Support individuals in the community and in person-supported homes.
• Assist with therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
