Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate DSPs to help people with disabilities learn, work, and participate in their communities. You will work in person-supported homes, assisting with daily tasks, meals, hygiene, and medication administration while coordinating with clinical staff to improve quality of life.

We offer a starting rate of $15 per hour, tenure pay scale, annual performance bonus, shift premium on weekends, health insurance, company-paid life and long-term disability, and

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
• Support individuals in community involvement and activities outside the home.
• Assist with therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff.
• Help ensure safety and well-being in person-supported homes.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
