Miller-Keystone Blood Center in Bethlehem is seeking a Component Laboratory Technician (2nd Shift) to help manufacture and ensure the safety of blood products for PA and NJ hospitals. You'll perform manufacturing, QC, and inventory tasks, conduct Moderate Complexity testing under CLIA, and maintain records and SOPs.

This role requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment and a commitment to patient safety and quality.

Qualifikationen

• A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate's degree is preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in production or manufacturing is preferred.
• Background in healthcare with blood specimen handling is preferred.
• Experience in a federally regulated environment (FDA/CLIA).
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow SOPs; strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to engage diverse colleagues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Aufgaben

• Performs tasks including manufacturing, quality control, and handling and managing inventory of blood products.
• Conducts Moderate Complexity testing in compliance with CLIA requirements for bacterial sampling, processing, testing, and reporting.
• Maintains laboratory records, quality control policies, and follows SOPs.
• Identifies errors in manufacturing that may affect quality, safety, or purity and implements corrective actions.
• Reviews testing records for accuracy and completion.
• Communicates clearly with internal departments and external stakeholders.
