Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated BHT supervisor for its inpatient detox and residential facility in Norfolk, VA. You will manage daily operations, support the BHT team, and ensure a safe, recovery-focused environment.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, empathy, and boundary setting to maintain high standards of patient care and staff collaboration within our Norfolk facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations ( Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications ).
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures.
