Avenues Recovery Center in Norfolk, VA is hiring an experienced Behavioral Health Technician to oversee daily residential operations at our inpatient detox and residential facility. You will manage intake, supervision, transport, meals, and medications while maintaining a therapeutic, recovery-focused environment.

You will train and support the BHT team, escalate crises as needed, enforce policies, and promote client engagement and morale.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.)
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities
• Escalate concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures
