GateHouseTreatment in Nashua, NH is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support residents in our residential housing program during second shift hours (3p-11p). The BHT helps maintain a safe, structured, recovery-focused environment by monitoring residents, supporting daily routines, and reinforcing program expectations.

Ideal candidates are dependable, compassionate, and interested in working directly with individuals in recovery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in behavioral health or related fields preferred.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and a calm presence in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong observation, documentation, and communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support residents to ensure safety, structure, and compliance with program rules.
• Conduct regular checks and observations; document behaviors and shift notes.
• Support residents with daily routines and recovery-focused activities.
• De-escalate situations and follow crisis intervention and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with clinical, housing, and operations staff during shift handoffs.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transitions as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
