Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences in Salt Lake City seeks a Quality Inspector to support the lifecycle of medical devices. You will perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections, using magnifiers, microscopes, and vision systems to ensure conformance with design specs.

You must read and write English, have a high school diploma, and be able to work Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am. The role involves document review, data entry into JDE, and training colleagues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional and functional inspections of components and finished medical devices using inspection tools.

• Follow SOPs and record traceable information in device history records and JDE.
• Verify manufacturing documents against drawings; ensure proper storage conditions and inventory control.
• Train colleagues from other sites and maintain a clean work area.

Job description

Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am

Pay rate: $19.98/hr (you will receive an additional 10% differential for working 2nd shift)

How you'll make an impact:

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of components and/or finished medical device products using a wide variety of tools and equipment such as magnifying lamp, microscope, vision inspection system, etc. to ensure conformance with design specifications
• Perform functional testing of finished medical device products using both automated and manual valve testing equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications
• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records and may enter information into JDE.
• Perform verification of manufacturing documents with component and device drawings
• May control inventory to ensure appropriate storage conditions and movement
• May train colleagues from other sites, including inspection of their work output
• Other incidental duties: General work area housekeeping
