Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Assemble medical devices using higher tools and multiple work stations with precision and timeliness.
  • Follow work instructions and drawings; navigate drawings and enter parts status data.
  • Record traceable information on device history and enter data into manufacturing data systems.
  • Adhere to Edwards EH&S and Quality guidelines in clean room manufacturing.
  • Perform line clearances and maintain clean work stations at shift start or transition.
  • Provide constructive feedback and escalate issues with equipment or process changes.

Schedules
  • 1st Shift - Monday to Thursday (Possible OT Friday) 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift - Monday to Thursday (Possible OT Friday 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Pay

We pay for experience - candidates who meet the required experience criteria and successfully demonstrate job-related competencies during the selection process can join at a higher starting pay and job level then our entry level positions.

What you’ll need (required):
  • 2 years experience previous related experience, specifically in medical device manufacturing
  • Due to the specific duties of this job, you must be able to read, comprehend, write, speak English, and have elementary-level understanding of numerical functions

How you’ll make an impact:
  • Use higher tools and equipment to complete assembly of medical devices precisely and in a timely fashion at each multiple work stations, - Continuously expands proficiency in number of operations, with exposure to multiple production lines - following work order instructions and drawings, using computers to navigate drawings, and entering parts status data. Inventory reconciliation at start of day and when transitioning to next work order.
  • Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records and may enter data into manufacturing data systems.
  • Adhere to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing
  • May perform line clearance, i.e., cleaning and sanitizing work stations at the start of the shift and when transitioning to next work orders. Ensure all required components and tools are ready for the build.
  • Self‑assessment of work, which may include visual inspection under magnification, and sequential review of colleagues work, providing constructive team feedback, including escalating work issues and changes in equipment performance to supervisor for assessment and correction.
  • Other incidental duties: General work area housekeeping
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision by following detailed manufacturing instructions
  • Work in a Team environment, primarily work with colleagues and supervisor
  • Ability to effectively provide and accept feedback from colleagues based on sequential work reviews
  • Flexibility to work overtime to ensure smooth and continuous manufacturing processes
  • Proven ability to complete, retain, and incorporate training coursework in the performance of new and advanced work procedures
