Job summary

Colonial Group in Springfield, MO is seeking a shift supervisor to lead and coordinate an assembly team on the second shift, ensuring production, quality, and safety targets are met through hands-on leadership and continuous improvement.

You will coach and evaluate staff, oversee scheduling and workflow, analyze labor data, inspect products, enforce safety, and collaborate with EHS and Quality to maintain regulatory and AS9100 standards; prior lead experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, including at least 2 years in a lead, team lead, or supervisory role directing the work of others.
• Able to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints or assembly drawings, and production schedules.
• Basic computer skills: email, Microsoft Excel and Word, and entering or pulling data from an ERP/MRP system.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and the ability to enforce safety rules on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members and track quality and production goals.
• Coordinate scheduling and monitor workflow efficiency.
• Analyze labor and production data for improvements.
• Inspect finished products and adjust operations accordingly.
• Coach, train, and evaluate team performance.
• Uphold Positronic’s standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
• Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator.
• Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
• Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
