Great Hearts Archway Chandler is seeking a Second Grade Homeroom Teacher to guide a class in a classical liberal arts program. You will deliver lessons from Spalding Phonics, Singapore Math, history, science and literature, while building a warm, orderly classroom.

Bachelor's degree required; K-5 teaching experience preferred; enjoy professional development and a collaborative school culture. US work authorization required. This is a full-time onsite role at Chandler, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
• Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.
• Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
• Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.
