Under the guidance of the Assistant Controller, the SEC Reporting Manager plays an active role in achieving Finance objectives. The manager will oversee financial reporting required by the Bank, its parent, and subsidiaries under SEC regulations, U.S. GAAP, and other authorities. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with reporting standards, working with stakeholders across the Bank, and monitoring current and emerging accounting and reporting developments.
This person will also:
Lead and oversee SEC reporting teams, providing guidance and thought leadership to enhance their expertise.
Facilitate the preparation, review, and submission of SEC and other Bank reports, including Form 10-Q, 10-K, MD&A, Form 8-K, and investor presentations.
Manage the annual sustainability report and other sustainability disclosures in collaboration with relevant departments.
Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including analytical reviews, variance analysis, and data integrity checks.
Coordinate with the regulatory reporting team to ensure consistency between SEC and other external reports.
Assist stakeholders across the Bank with reporting and analysis needs.
Monitor new reporting requirements from FASB, SEC, and other bodies, helping interpret and implement new rules.
Ensure SEC reporting integrity and maintain sound controls and procedures.
Coordinate internal and external audits, including drafting responses and implementing corrective actions.
Review complex transactions for compliance with SEC, GAAP, and regulatory standards.
Lead disclosure efforts and reporting for acquisitions, coordinating with accounting teams.
Lead special projects as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
Experience
4-7 years in accounting or finance required; 3-5 years in financial services and SEC reporting preferred.
Less than 2 years of supervision experience required.
Licenses and Certifications
CPA certification required within 1 year of start date.
