Vaco by Highspring seeks an SEC Staff Accountant to join a well-established financial institution in Phoenix. The role offers exposure to SEC reporting and public company accounting, with a four-day in-office schedule and a stable, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 1-2 years of public accounting experience preferred.
• Big Four experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with SEC reporting and public company financial reporting processes.
• Prepare supporting schedules and workpapers for quarterly and annual filings.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information and supporting documentation.
• Partner with accounting and finance teams on reporting initiatives and special projects.
• Help maintain compliance with public company reporting requirements.
