Job summary

Southeast Connections, LLC is seeking a Locator to work with the HDD Operator to identify and mark utilities before drilling gas line installations. This role supports site preparation and ensures accurate utility location to prevent damage.

You should have a High School Diploma or GED, experience as a Horizontal Drill Locator preferred, and be able to travel for extended periods. The job requires physical stamina and strong communication skills to coordinate with teammates and clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist HDD Operator with locating and marking utilities.
• Identify and mark utility lines before drilling gas line installations.
• Perform physical tasks and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Communicate effectively in writing, email, or in-person with coworkers and clients.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and professional conduct at all times.
• Travel to project sites as needed and maintain a clean driving record.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Locator will work with the HDD (Drill) Operator to identify and mark utilities before drilling for gas line installations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY

• Assist Operator with all duties
• Locate and mark utility lines
• Able to perform physical tasks and work outdoors (lift 60lbs)
• Able to work and communicate effectively in written form, e-mail, or in person with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Takes personal responsibility for the quality and presentation of work

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITY
