Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is assisting a Houston-based client in finding a SEC Financial Reporting Accountant to oversee internal and external financial reporting. The role requires 2+ years of SEC reporting or public accounting experience and a CPA is preferred.

You will participate in monthly and quarterly closes, prepare SEC filings, and provide analysis and schedules to support financial reporting accuracy and transparency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years of SEC reporting and/or public accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience is preferred.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of SEC filings.
• Participate in the monthly and quarterly accounting close process.
• Assist in providing quarterly and annual schedules.
• Review financial results, report variances, and provide related analysis.
• Assist in researching accounting issues and drafting technical accounting memos.
• Maintain and analyze key performance metrics.
• Support the financial reporting team with various ad hoc analyses.
