Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior SEC Reporting Analyst for a fast-growing, publicly traded technology-focused organization in Texas. This role builds and enhances the SEC reporting function, partnering with Accounting, FP&A, and Audit to ensure GAAP compliance and timely disclosures.

We seek 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in SEC reporting or public accounting, with strong Excel skills and experience with Workiva.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• CPA license or progress toward CPA strongly preferred; Master’s degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within an SEC reporting function or public accounting environment; Big 4 experience preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience or exposure to internal controls, SOX compliance, or financial reporting control frameworks preferred.
• Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with Workiva or other SEC reporting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and filing of SEC reporting documents (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy materials).
• Prepare supporting workpapers, tie-outs, and disclosures.
• Assist with technical accounting research and GAAP memos.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Review XBRL/interactive data for SEC filings.
• Support internal controls over financial reporting in a SOX environment.
• Collaborate with internal teams and auditors to strengthen controls and improve reporting.
• Prepare audit schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Collaborate with FP&A and IR on variance analysis and MD&A support.
• Ensure accuracy of statements, footnotes, and disclosures.
• Help build and improve SEC reporting processes leveraging technology.
