Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Utilities Intern to join our Seattle, WA team for the summer of 2027. You will assist engineers with basic plan details, drawings, and calculations and participate in field visits to collect data.

The internship provides exposure to planning, design, and construction of utilities, along with opportunities to develop skills in AutoCAD and project documentation. Candidates pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering will thrive in this team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
• Exposure to AutoCAD or similar engineering software is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team‑oriented and self‑motivated with the ability to work with a team and independently.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparing basic plan details, drawings, and calculations under the guidance of project engineers.
• Supports the development of technical specifications and project documentation.
• Drafts sections of technical reports or memorandums with direction from the team.
• Participates in field visits to observe tests, take measurements, and collect field data.
• Provides general support to project teams, including helping with proposal materials as needed.
• Performs assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance.
• Utilizes current company-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational goals.
