Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to join our team in Charlotte, NC for the summer of 2027. This internship offers exposure to real-world engineering work and a chance to contribute to water and wastewater projects for municipalities and public agencies.

You will assist in design and analysis, prepare drawings and reports, perform hydraulic modeling and calculations, and participate in field investigations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic modeling software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Team-oriented with ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of water/wastewater facilities and networks.
• Prepare drawings, reports, memos, and specifications.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling and engineering calculations.
• Participate in field investigations and data collection.
• Contact vendors for budget quotes and assist with cost estimates.
• Support permitting, regulatory documentation, and scheduling.
• Review drawings for accuracy and standards adherence.
• Use engineering software tools and MS Office to support tasks.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed to support team.
