Job summary

Alloyed is seeking a dedicated Site Safety & Facilities Officer to join our Seattle team. This full-time role combines ensuring the site is safe and compliant with regulations while maintaining day-to-day facilities operations.

You will implement global H&S programs locally, coordinate with UK and Seattle teams, supervise minor maintenance, and manage contractors for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and waste services.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, workplace health & safety, EHS coordination, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on competency with minor building maintenance tasks and basic repairs using standard tools.
• Proven ability to research local regulatory requirements, identify providers, and manage vendors.
• Strong organizational skills; manage multiple priorities across admin and physical tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; engage with employees, contractors, regulators, and colleagues across time zones.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Valid Washington State driver’s license.
• Able to work in a fast-paced agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Seattle site’s primary health and safety contact, aligning with local regulations.
• Conduct workplace inspections, identify hazards, and track remediation to closure.
• Create and maintain risk assessments, safe-work procedures, signage, logs.
• Investigate accidents, document findings, and report to the UK H&S team.
• Carry out hands-on maintenance, furniture assembly, space moves, light repairs.
• Respond to facilities requests and coordinate contractors for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, waste services.
• Inspect areas to keep the site clean, safe, accessible, and compliant.
• Assist with office and workshop space reconfigurations.
• Liaise with the UK Infrastructure and Facilities team on projects and schedules.
