Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Washington; admission to WA Bar or pending admission if currently licensed elsewhere.
• 8+ years of experience in civil litigation, including discovery, oral advocacy, court appearances, motions.
• Experience with class actions, complex litigation, wage-and-hour litigation; travel ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a caseload of wage-and-hour, class, and representative actions against regional and national employers.
• Develop case strategy; conduct and respond to complex discovery; take and defend depositions.
• Draft and argue dispositive and class-certification motions; lead settlement negotiations; appear in court for hearings and trial.
• Mentor junior attorneys and provide guidance on litigation best practices.
• Occasional travel to meet clients and court appearances.

Description

The Senior Attorney will manage and lead an active caseload of state and federal plaintiff's-side wage-and-hour, class, and representative action litigation against regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies, while also providing guidance and oversight to associate attorneys. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing case strategy; conducting and responding to complex discovery; taking and defending depositions; drafting and arguing dispositive and class certification motions; leading settlement negotiations; appearing in court for hearings and trial; and mentoring junior attorneys on litigation best practices. Our agenda is growing and the ideal candidate for this position is a licensed, highly experienced litigator with a strong track record in complex or class action litigation who is organized, professional, and committed to achieving strong outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be either (a) licensed to practice law in Washington or (b) already licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction and pending admission to the Washington Bar.
• The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in Washington and have minimum of 8+ years of experience in civil litigation, including experience with discovery in the civil litigation context, oral advocacy and appearing in Court, motion practice and taking/defending depositions.
• Prior experience with class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour litigation is a plus.
• Candidates must be able to travel on occasion.
