Job summary

RALLY is an advocacy communications agency seeking a Principal to join our Seattle office and lead as a senior advisor and strategist. You will guide client work, drive new business growth, mentor talent, and shape the firm’s direction while serving as the primary Seattle-facing representative.

You will expand regional opportunities, publish thought leadership, and oversee high-profile engagements across sectors.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in strategic communications, with senior-level agency/nonprofit/philanthropic experience.
• Proven mastery of campaign strategy and execution.
• Deep regional knowledge of Pacific Northwest political and philanthropic landscape.
• Business development excellence with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Executive advisory experience with foundations and leaders.
• Integrated earned media, digital strategy, brand, and creative expertise.
• Strong leadership to mentor staff and shape culture.
• Exceptional communication skills for distilling complex ideas.
• Financial and operational acumen in consulting.
• Commitment to social impact and equity.

Responsibilities

• Drive regional growth: grow client portfolio across foundation, nonprofit, and government sectors in the Pacific Northwest.
• Lead the pitch and proposal process from start to finish, building relationships regionally and nationally.
• Elevate the firm's profile through speaking engagements, media appearances, and strategic publications.
• Establish subject matter expertise regionally in Seattle and nationally within key issue areas.
• Shape firm direction with the executive team, planning priorities and growth strategies.
• Champion innovation by leading cross-functional initiatives, including AI and emerging media.
