Job summary

Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to provide personalized in-home care to a client in Seattle, Washington. This role emphasizes maintaining the client’s dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life within a safe home environment.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor the client’s condition, and communicate effectively with the care team.

Qualifications

• CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable approach to caregiving.
• Ability to work independently and follow care instructions.
• Basic meal preparation and light housekeeping skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
• Active CNA, HCA, or completion of caregiver training.
• Successful completion of a background check and reference verification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
• Help clients with mobility and safe ambulation inside and outside the home.
• Prepare and serve meals while following dietary requirements.
• Provide medication reminders as directed by the client's care plan.
• Assist with prescribed exercises and recommended daily activities.
• Provide companionship and encourage participation in meaningful activities.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home.
• Assist with shopping and accompany clients on errands when needed.
• Observe and communicate changes in the client's condition or behavior.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, families, and other care team members.
• Follow established care plans and respond appropriately to emergencies or unusual situations.
