Job summary

Ableserve seeks a Journeyman Building Engineer to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure in Seattle. You will troubleshoot issues, conduct preventative maintenance, coordinate service calls, and escort vendors on-site.

Collaborate with contractors to keep the facility safe, compliant with regulations, monitor BAS, and support capital projects. You will document activities and help improve energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree or technical certification in building systems preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in building engineering or facilities management.
• Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and BAS.

Responsibilities

• Address and resolve building system malfunctions promptly.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Monitor building management systems to optimize energy use and performance.
• Escort vendors on-site and ensure safety and site protocols.
• Coordinate service calls with internal teams and external vendors.
• Document maintenance activities and repair history.
