Job summary

Currie & Brown Group Limited in Seattle is seeking a motivated Intern to gain hands-on experience in cost management, estimating, and construction project delivery. You will work with experienced professionals on live projects and support junior staff in day-to-day tasks.

The role offers part-time flexibility during the academic year and full-time availability in summer, with training in Excel, Bluebeam, CostX and Revit to support your learning and career development.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a final year or Junior of a Construction Management or related degree program at the University of Washington.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Interest in cost management and commercial aspects of construction.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam, CostX, or Revit is a plus.
• Ability to work part-time during the academic year and full-time during summer.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates and quantity take-offs using tools such as Bluebeam.
• Support cost planning, benchmarking, and tender review exercises.
• Help review change orders, invoices, and financial reports for active construction projects.
• Participate in project meetings and liaise with design and construction teams.
• Contribute to research and data analysis for internal and client-facing deliverables.
