Job summary

Boyd Corporation, a global market leader in custom fabricated solutions for the electronics, transportation, medical, and industrial markets, is seeking a Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager to be based in Seattle, WA.

The Purchasing Manager is an integral part of the organization who is responsible for commodities used within the site (and other divisions within Boyd as needed) and will secure long-term total quality, delivery, cost efficiency, and sustainability of direct material supply

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or relevant field.
Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in commodity management.
Proficient with MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and use of a PC.
Ability to travel up to 25% to domestic and/or international sites as required.

Responsibilities

Maintain all commercial relationships with suppliers and secure cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability targets.
Develop and implement commodity strategies in line with strategic sourcing directions for maximum value.
Drive supplier performance, contract effectiveness, and KPI-based improvements.
Manage supplier contracts lifecycle including legal submission and expiration alerts.
