Job summary

Canoo in Oklahoma City is seeking a Seating Engineer to lead complete seat system design and development for current and future programs, collaborating across cross-functional teams to balance form, function, and cost.

You will interpret CAE results, manage DFMEA/DVP&R documentation, and drive seating architecture in Catia 3DX while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring on-time, quality deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in seating structures & systems.
• Experience with Catia 3DX.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the Complete Seat System for Canoo programs.
• Establish seat system architecture and functional feasibility.
• Collaborate with Canoo teams to balance form, function and cost.
• Mentor junior engineers on the seating team.
• Interpret CAE results and translate into design changes.
• Conduct supplier meetings to ensure design integrity and milestones.
• Manage design releases and sign-off.
• Develop information in Catia V6 environment.
