Job summary

Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville, IN, is seeking a full-time Seating and Mobility Specialist to evaluate complex seating and mobility needs and recommend solutions that maximize independence and safety.

The role involves equipment evaluations, coordination with healthcare teams, funding approvals, and hands-on fitting and adjustments. Travel is required; an Associate’s degree or higher is required, and ATP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in healthcare, rehabilitation, or related field.
• Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and car insurance.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs regularly.
• Travel required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate individuals with complex rehabilitation, seating, positioning, and mobility needs and recommend equipment solutions.
• Coordinate with physicians and therapists, secure funding and authorizations, and manage equipment ordering and tracking.
• Deliver, fit, and provide follow-up adjustments and support for seating and mobility equipment.
