Job summary

Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville, IN, is seeking a full-time Seating and Mobility Specialist to evaluate complex seating and mobility needs and recommend solutions that maximize independence and safety.

The role involves equipment evaluations, coordination with healthcare teams, funding approvals, and hands-on fitting and adjustments. Travel is required; an Associate’s degree or higher is required, and ATP certification is preferred.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

The Seating and Mobility Specialist evaluates individuals with complex rehabilitation, seating, positioning, and mobility needs and recommends appropriate equipment solutions that maximize independence, function, safety, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include conducting equipment evaluations, coordinating with physicians and therapists, securing funding and authorizations, ordering and tracking equipment, delivering and fitting equipment, and providing follow-up adjustments and support.

Experience in seating and mobility is preferred but not required.

This position does require some travel.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

• Associate's degree or higher in healthcare, rehabilitation, or related field.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and valid car insurance.
• Assistive Technology Professional certification, preferred but not required
• Ability to lift 70 lbs. on an occasional basis and 40 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to assist clients in activities including kneeling, crouching, reaching, and bending.
• Ability to lift and transfer, with assistance, individuals who weigh up to 250 lbs.
• Ability to push large adults in wheelchairs.
