Job summary

ITMC Systems, Inc in Ohio is seeking a senior design engineer with 10+ years of experience in seating systems to drive design and development from concept through mass production.

You will work with cross-functional teams, apply DFM/DFM principles, and ensure compliance with FMVSS and ECE regulations while delivering innovative, safe, and manufacturable seating solutions for automotive programs.

Qualifications

• Design & Development of Seating systems with 10+ years experience.
• Experience with Catia V5 & V6 for surface modelling.
• Knowledge of FMVSS and ECE regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of DFM & DFA concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design & development of seating systems.
• Design of seating parts from concept to mass production.
• 3D, 2D and 3DA experience in Catia V5 & Catia V6.
• Ensure design considers packaging, styling, regulations and performance.
• Adhere to FMVSS and ECE regulatory requirements.
• Apply DFA/DFM principles to manufacturing.
• Coordinate offshore tasks and maintain schedule with quality.
• Guide team on continuous quality improvement.

Job description

• Design & Development of Seating systems with 10+ Years experience
• Design of all seating parts - Sheet metal, plastics and surrounding parts from the concept to mass production
• 3D, 2D and 3DA experience in Catia V5 & Catia V6 with good Surface modelling skills.
• Design Considering the Package, styling, vehicle regulation & performance
• Experience in FMVSS, ECE regulatory requirements
• Good knowledge in Occupant safety regulation
• Need to understand the Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & DFA
• Intermediate checking with cross functional team and check Module level
• Offshore coordination for tasks on schedule with desired quality
• Guide team on continuous quality improvement
